Fender 1966 Electric XII Sunburst
-
Features
Sporting a split pickup system like its Fender family member, the precision bass… The Fender Electric XII left a lasting impression during its run from 1965 – 1968. A unique group of shapes borrowed from the Jazzmaster/Jaguar for the body and a hockey stick for the head, this marked a major departure from the typical guitars Fender was making at the time. It was one of the last designs Leo Fender made before the infamous CBS take over. The pickups combined with a 4-way rotary switch make the tone of this guitar unique. The pickup positions include; Neck alone Bridge alone Neck/Bridge together Neck/Bridge togther but out of phase. The roller bridge is also a largely unique part on this guitar as each individual string has its own saddle! This particular guitar was bought in 2003 in Victoria, British Columbia. Everything is functioning as should be and plays smoothly. These are the original frets so there is some wear down on them. Comes with original hard shell case
