The legendary Flying V2 from it’s original production year of 1979. A 5 ply solid body guitar in it’s most popular iteration of Walnut/Maple/Walnut/Maple/Walnut known as the sandwich body style. Delicious. One of the most expensive guitars that Gibson produced at it’s inception, this beauty is duely appointed with gold hardware, brass nut, MOP dot inlays and Gibson logo. The unique ‘Boomerang’ pickups are quite the treat! Contrary to other Flying Vs through the ages, the V2 features single coil pickups instaed of the more familiar humbuckers. The Boomerangs were one of the first projects of Tim Shaw when he began his stint at Gibson. This is a very fine example of an already rare guitar. It still has the plastic protector on the pickguard! Very few signs of play and virtually zero fret wear, this V2 is ready for a new lease on life. Includes original hard shell case and vintage guitar strap. A fine addition to any collection. 7.8 lbs. @ Our Alma St Location
