1959 Gibson Country and Western
-Very good condition
-Made in Kalamazoo, MI 1959 FON # rubber stamped on block S8277 29
-Solid spruce top
-Solid mahogany back and sides
-Original lacquer in good condition. Lots of natural checking that gives the guitar character. Some pick strumming scratches on the top above the soundhole and near the bridge worn in to finish. Numerous small dents and one circular mark in the lacquer.
-Pickguard is original, shows some sign of shrinkage and is on good condition.
-Back lacquer shows checking and minor wear
-Sides have lacquer checking, some dings and scratches on the corners. One notable ding near the neck heel, some notable scratches on the side at lower but bass side.
-Neck is a thick C shape with lacquer worn away around the 2nd fret area. A strap button has been added to the heel.
-Binding is in very good condition. Nut has likely been replaced.
-Frets are original, show moderate wear, heavier in the cowboy chord area.
-Fretboard is Brazilian rosewood with parallelogram inlays. There is fingerboard wear in the cowboy chord area. Bass side is fairly straight, treble side has a hump towards the body joint.
-Original Kluson Deluxe tuners are in very good condition. Headstock lacquer has some checking and one circular depression below the Gibson logo.
-Bridge is original, Brazilian rosewood. The bridge is not lifting and does not appear to have been removed in the past. Some surface scratches.
-Guitar plays well with a medium low action and sounds fabulous with lot sof sustain!
-Includes modern hardshell case. Period correct gatorskin graphic textured cardboard case available upon request. (Additional shipping charges may apply, contact us to inquire)
